My Sister-In-Law is having a little girl and I helped put together her baby shower.
So first thing is trophies for games, I all ways have a hard time deciding what gift to get for shower games. It is so hard for me I make things with people in mind and fail at general gifts so I decided to do trophies, as well as gifts. I got little wooden plaques from Micheal's and some small bottles from Target. Then I screwed then bottle to the plague. It was a little tricky and involved breaking into my husbands work bench. Took them out side sprayed them a fun pink color and perfect baby shower trophy.
So on to the games I mentioned
All most everyone feeds their baby baby food weather it is store bought or home made we give it to the little ones but how many first time moms know what it taste like?!?! So why not turn it into a game. I purchased 6 types of baby food and some liquid food coloring to mix in and hide the color. Pealed off the label and replaced it with a fun one
Then I handed out
and let people guess.
It was harder then you would think we only have one person get 3 right.
We were a little tight on time so we decided to squeeze in a game while she was opening gifts.
Baby Shower BINGO. We filled in each sheet ahead of time with gifts we knew she was getting.
And where is the best place to end the post? Where we started the party, with a headband/hair clip station.
First you have to have some thing cute to hold all of those right.. so I made a fun hanging letter
I put Velcro behind the flowers to create a loop to put headbands in and then a long ribbon behind it for the clips. Used some neutral scrapbook paper and added the color with the ribbon in hopes the little one will use it for years to come.
Next I baked some ribbon, seriously that is so fun to say. I got the idea here. She used clothespins but I didn't have any so I used binder clips and it worked great
I also got some other things started so people could make one even if they weren't that crafty
Then we had to know who each headband was from right so I borrowed a cricket (I really want on) and cut
But I couldn't just leave them like that so I got out
and ended up with ....
Did I remember to take any pictures at the shower.... nope. Thankfully an awesome friend got out her phone and took some because I forgot my camera
I forgot one more thing, YAY for the edit post option! What new parents don't need advise... well ok some of them are sick of it and some of them think they know better but really this was a fun idea that will make a great memory book.
